Durham, NC – Dwight Bernard Williams Hurt in U.S. 70 Head-On Crash

Durham, NC (February 23, 2021) – A man from Durham was hurt in a head-on crash that occurred on Saturday, February 20th. The accident occurred just after 1:00 p.m. on U.S. Highway 70 near the intersection with S.R. 1815.

The Durham Police Department responded to the scene. According to a report from officials, Jalen Morris, of Durham, was heading eastbound on U.S. 70 when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound vehicle driven by Dwight Bernard Williams, of Durham. Williams was taken by ambulance to Duke Hospital in Durham. There is no further word on his condition at this time. There were no other vehicles involved in the crash and no other injuries were reported. Motorists were advised to use caution when traveling near the crash scene or to avoid the area if possible.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation at this time. No additional information is available and it is not clear where any charges are being made in connection with the crash.
