Clayton, NC (May 28, 2021) – A deputy with the Wake County Sheriff’s Office sustained injuries in a multi-car crash that took place on Friday, May 28th. The collision occurred on Buffalo Road at the intersection with Jordan-Narron Road in Clayton.
Troopers with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol were called to the accident scene. According to a report, a driver failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and struck the deputy’s car. The deputy’s vehicle then spun out and struck a third car. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the deputy to WakeMed for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The deputy has not been identified at this time.
The Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident at this time. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
