Carolina Beach, NC – Ammad Brown Killed in Hit-and-Run on Carolina Beach Rd.

Carolina Beach, NC (September 22, 2021) – A 25-year-old man from Wilmington was killed in a hit-and-run accident that took place early Sunday morning in Carolina Beach. The crash happened on Carolina Beach Road near Myrtle Grove.

According to reports from the scene, 25-year-old Ammad O’Neil Brown was driving in the early morning hours on Sunday when his car suffered a flat tire. Brown exited his vehicle and was standing near the roadway when he was hit by a black Honda Civic. The driver of the Civic fled the scene after striking Brown and was not present when police arrived.

Brown suffered critical injuries and died at the crash scene. There is no further description of the vehicle or the suspect at this time. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating. Anyone with details should contact the Highway Patrol.
