Albemarle, NC – Robert Kendall Hurt in Car Accident on N.C. 24-27

Albemarle, NC (June 25, 2020) – A man from Albemarle was hurt in a car accident on Tuesday. The crash took place just before 7:00 a.m. on N.C. Highway 24-27.

According to the Albemarle Police Department, Jennie Frances Pethel was driving a 2017 Ford SUV when she ran a red light and collided with a 1987 Ford truck driven by 72-year-old Robert Russell Kendall. Kendall was taken to a hospital and treated for unknown injuries. There is no update on his condition at this time. Neither Pethel nor the four minor children occupying her vehicle were injured in the collision.

Police cited Pethel for running a red light and failure to secure a child under the age of 16. No further details have been released.
