Windsor, NC – One Killed, Two Hurt in Car Accident on N.C. 13

Windsor, NC (November 3, 2020) – One person was killed in a two-car crash in Windsor on Friday, October 30th. The crash was reported on U.S. Highway 13 near the intersection with North Carolina Highway 305.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper J.V. Reid, 39-year-old Deonte Bryant was traveling around a curve when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle traveled left of center before colliding head-on with an SUV driven by 65-year-old Richard Bell, Jr. of Murfreesboro. After the crash, Bell’s vehicle continued off the roadway, traveled over a ditch, and came to rest in a field.

Bryant was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Bell, along with his 55-year-old passenger Yolanda Ross, sustained serious injuries and were taken to local hospitals in serious conditions. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
