Fatal Car Accidents in North Carolina  Rose Hill, NC - Cedric Rogers Killed in Crash with UPS Truck on I-40

A serious or fatal accident in North Carolina can happen in a matter of seconds. One minute you may be driving down the road and minding your own business on the way to your destination and the next you can find yourself as the victim of a negligent driver. Many serious injury accidents in North Carolina are unavoidable due to the fact that the negligent driver places the other motorist in a position from which there is no escape. The most common types of serious and fatal car accidents involve drivers who are inattentive or distracted in some way causing them to strike other vehicles or pedestrians.

Although the impacts of a North Carolina truck accident can be devastating for victims and their loved ones, there are remedies available. Under the law, a victim’s next-of-kin can bring a wrongful death claim against the motorist who caused the crash. This typically occurs when a driver has engaged in negligent, careless, or intentional actions which resulted in the death of an innocent person. The types of compensation recoverable in North Carolina wrongful death claims include payment for pain and suffering, funeral and medical bills, and loss of companionship, and potentially more.
