Knightdale, NC (May 8, 2021) – One person is dead and another injured following a car accident in Knightdale on Friday evening. The crash took place around 11:45 p.m. on South Smithfield Road.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to a report from troopers, two cars were involved in the crash. Rescue workers transported two people to a local hospital where one of them succumbed to their injuries. There is no word on the condition of the second individual. The cause of the accident remains under investigation at this time and police have not released any information on the identities of the victims.
