Knightdale, NC (May 8, 2021) – One person is dead and another injured following a car accident in Knightdale on Friday evening. The crash took place around 11:45 p.m. on South Smithfield Road.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to a report from troopers, two cars were involved in the crash. Rescue workers transported two people to a local hospital where one of them succumbed to their injuries. There is no word on the condition of the second individual.
