High Point, NC – Two Injured in Crash on East Lexington Avenue

High Point, NC (December 9, 2020) – Two people were injured in a crash that took place on East Lexington Avenue in High Point. The crash occurred on Tuesday, December 8th at approximately 4:43 a.m. near the intersection with Meadowlawn Avenue.

Officers with the High Point Police Department responded to a call regarding the crash. According to a report from officers, Ihanga Bagaya was driving a 2000 Chevrolet westbound on East Lexington with a passenger, identified as Phoebe Marie Kanupp, when she was involved in a crash.

Officers noted injuries to both Bagaya and Kanupp as a result of the accident. Both victims were taken to High Point Regional Hospital to be treated for their injuries. There is no update on their conditions at this time.
