High Point, NC (December 18, 2021) – Police in High Point were at the scene of a serious car accident on Thursday, December 16th. The crash took place on Fairfield Road near BBQ Joe’s Country Cooking.

According to a report from the High Point Police Department, a van turned right out of a parking lot and onto Fairfield Road. The driver turned too far right, however, and left the roadway. The car struck a power pole and caused powerlines to fall into the roadway.

The driver of the van was taken to a local hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Several juveniles in the car were also treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No one involved in the accident has been identified at this time.

The crash remains under investigation. There is no additional information available.
