Gastonia, NC – Johnny Frazier Identified as Victim in Friday Motorcycle Crash

Gastonia, NC (August 1, 2020) – The Gastonia Police Department has identified a man who was hurt in a motorcycle accident that took place on Friday, July 31st. The crash happened on Union Road near Westway Drive and Hudson Boulevard.

Police were called to the crash scene just after 10:00 a.m. in response to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a car. When officers arrived, they located the injured motorcyclist. Police later identified the victim as Johnny Frazier. According to reports, Frazier was traveling southbound on Union when he collided with a Chevrolet Equinox operated by Denise Wilson of Valdese.

An ambulance with the Gaston County EMS arrived at the scene and transported Frazier to CaroMont Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. He was later airlifted to a hospital in Charlotte for additional treatment. There is no update on his condition at this time. Wilson was not injured in the accident.

Police are still investigating the crash and there is no further information available.
