Gaston County, NC – Two Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident on US 321 at MM 15 & High Shoals

Gaston County, NC (March 11, 2021) – Two people were killed in a hit-and-run accident that occurred on US 321 in Gaston County late Wednesday night, officials said.

According to first responders with Gaston EMS, the crash happened in the northbound lanes of 321 near mile marker 15. The area is between High Shoals and Dallas, just north of Gastonia. Two vehicles were involved in the incident, including a moped. Gaston EMS said both people who died were traveling on the moped.

Troopers with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol are leading the investigation and haven’t released further details on the suspect or the events leading up to the wreck.
