Forsyth County, NC – Child Airlifted Following DWI Crash on U.S. 311

Forsyth County, NC (April 5, 2021) – A child was hurt in a two-car crash that took place in Forsyth County on Sunday, April 4th. The collision happened around 10:00 p.m. on U.S. Highway 311 near the exit for Dennis Road.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Robert Glastetter was driving a pickup truck northbound on U.S. 311 when he ran off the roadway. Glastetter then re-entered the highway and collided head-on with a Dodge passenger vehicle that was traveling southbound on U.S. 311. The driver of the Dodge was identified as Kenneth Ford. Ford had two children in his vehicle at the time of the crash. A child in the vehicle was airlifted to a local hospital. Another injury was also reported but it is unclear if the other victim was in the Dodge or the pickup truck.

Following an investigation, troopers determined that both Glastetter and Ford were intoxicated and both were charged with DWI.
