Charlotte, NC – One Killed, Two Hurt in I-485 Car Accident

Charlotte, NC (October 13, 2020) – One person was killed and two others suffered injuries in a car accident that took place in Charlotte on Tuesday. The crash happened on I-485 just before 6:00 a.m.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the scene near Steele Creek Road just after the crash occurred. Emergency rescue personnel also arrived at the scene to assist in providing medical treatment. According to a report from police, one person died at the crash scene and two other victims were transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. There is no word further word on the condition of the victims at this time. The deceased victim has not been identified.

Officers have not offered any details on the cause of the crash or the number of vehicles involved. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed as a result of the crash.
