North Carolina Injury Accidents
Approximately 300,000 traffic accidents were reported last year in North Carolina. While motorists are legally required to remain at the scene of an injury crash, some choose to disregard the law. This is often the case when a driver knows that they have caused a serious injury or death and they leave the scene in an effort to avoid responsibility for their actions. The consequences of a hit-and-run crash can be devastating for victims and their families. We see many hit-and-run crashes where victims suffer life-changing injuries and, in the worst-case scenario, can lose their lives.
If you or a loved one has been involved in a North Carolina car accident, you should seek to protect your legal rights as quickly as possible. You could receive compensation for your medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and more. Hit-and-run accidents present complicated issues of legal liability and potential issues with insurance coverage. Depending on the specific circumstances of your accident, the driver who hit you may not carry insurance coverage. While this complicates matters, it does not mean that you should give up on recovering compensation for your injuries.
