Carthage, NC – One Hurt in Two-Car Accident on NC 22

Carthage, NC (May 19, 2020) – One person was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash along NC 22 in Carthage. The crash was reported on Monday, May 18th near Nicks Creek Lane.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. Troopers say that the victim was seriously injured and airlifted to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill for treatment. The Cypress Pointe Fire Rescue division assisted state troopers at the crash scene. The exact cause of the crash has not been revealed at this time and it is not known if anyone else was injured.

An investigation is underway at this time. No further information is available.
