Car Accidents in North Carolina  Wake Forest, NC - Injuries Reported in Three-Car Crash on U.S. 98

A North Carolina car accident can be a sudden, life-changing event. According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, nearly 300,000 car accidents took place in our state in 2018. This number has gradually but steadily increased over the past five years as our roadways have become more crowded and the population of the state has continued to grow. Motorists can expect the number of accidents to continue trending upward in the future. It is therefore important for all drivers to exercise a great degree of care and caution each time they get behind the wheel of a vehicle.

If you or a loved one have been injured in a car accident in North Carolina, it is important to take a few steps following the crash. If possible, you should document the accident scene by taking photographs of the damage to the vehicles and the position of the cars following the accident. You should also note any traffic signals, such as stoplights and stop signs.

If you were hurt in the crash, it is important to seek medical care as soon as possible. Many injuries from car accidents are not obvious right away, but you should see a doctor at the earliest opportunity. Neglecting your medical treatment can cause your injuries to get worse and will delay your ultimate healing and recovery.

Finally, you should speak with a North Carolina car accident lawyer before you talk to the insurance company. An attorney can give you advice and help evaluate your case. Your lawyer can also negotiate with the insurance company and take the stress and burden off of you during this difficult time.
