Denton, NC – Two Killed in Two-Car Crash N.C. Highway 109

Denton, NC (August 18, 2020) – Two people were killed in a car accident in Denton on Monday, August 17th. The crash took place in the southbound lanes of North Carolina Highway 109.

A call came into the Davidson County 911 Center just after 5:00 p.m. regarding the accident. Based on the details of the call, police were dispatched to the crash scene. When they arrived, officers discovered that two vehicles were involved in a serious crash near the town of Denton. Rescue workers arrived at the scene and began administering medical treatment to the injured victims. Two people were eventually pronounced dead as a result of injuries suffered in the crash. It is unclear what caused the accident to occur at this time. The names of the victims have not been released at this time.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash at this time and there is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed. No additional information has been released.
