Boone, NC (June 18, 2020) – A man was killed in a three-car crash in Boone on Wednesday, June 17th. The crash took place on U.S. 421 near Industrial Park Drive.
The Boone police responded to a call regarding the crash just after it occurred. According to officers, 59-year-old Lee J. Hamilton was unresponsive when authorities arrived at the scene. Hamilton was behind the wheel of a Toyota Rav4. A 2006 Jeep Liberty and a 2015 Toyota Corolla were also involved in the accident. The drivers of those two vehicles sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police are looking into the crash in order to determine the cause. No additional details are available at this time.
