Fatal Accidents in North Carolina  Winston-Salem, NC - Moped Rider Killed in Crash on U.S. 421

According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, there were more than 280,000 crashes that took place on our roadways. Approximately 1,400 people were killed in these crashes. Smaller vehicles such as mopeds and motorcycles accounted for a substantial number of these fatalities. A moped can be a very dangerous mode of transportation as it does not offer the same level of protection as a car or other more traditional vehicle.
