Wake Forest, NC – Pedestrian Seriously Hurt at Train Crossing on Seawell Dr.

Wake Forest, NC (June 22, 2020) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a train in Wake Forest on Monday. The crash happened around 5:00 pm. on Seawell Drive near the intersection with Old Crawford Road.

The pedestrian was rushed by rescue workers to WakeMed. The injuries are described as serious but there is no word on whether they are life-threatening. The pedestrian was not immediately identified. Police say that the railroad crossing did not have either a crossing arm or flashing lights. The Wake Forest Police Department and Wake County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the accident.
