Statesville, NC – Infant Killed, Toddler Hospitalized in Museum Road Crash

Statesville, NC (June 29, 2020) – A two-month-old baby was killed and two-year-old was hospitalized after a head-on crash in Statesville. The crash took place on Friday, June 26th around 5:15 p.m.

Authorities responded to the 1200 block of Museum Road shortly after the crash happened. According to a report, a male was driving a vehicle on Museum Road when he crossed the centerline and struck another car head-on. The two-month-old and two-year-old were inside the vehicle the crossed over the yellow line. The two-month-old died at the scene and the two-year-old was taken to the hospital in unknown condition. The male driver was hospitalized with critical injuries while the other driver was also transported with undisclosed injuries.

Police are investigating the crash but there is no word as to the cause at this time.
