Injury Accidents in North Carolina  New Hanover County, NC - Deputy Hurt in Hit-and-Run Crash on Carolina Beach Rd.

Injury accidents occur in North Carolina each day, multiple times per day. Many North Carolina car accidents happen because of the actions of negligent drivers. These drivers often have a disregard for the rights of others on the roadway. Some common causes of crashes involving negligent motorists include: failing to yield the right-of-way, speeding, impairment, distraction, and more. While each crash must be carefully investigated, a large number of innocent victims are injured in North Carolina car accidents. According to recent statistics, an estimated 130,000 people are injured in crashes across our state each year.

Following a car accident, it is important to have a full understanding of your legal rights. Under our state’s law, innocent car accident victims may have legal claims against the negligent driver. These claims include payment of your medical bills, prescription expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and more. Many car accident victims will also require future medical treatment and it is imperative to take this into account when settling your claim so that you do not end up being financially responsible for the carelessness of another motorist.
