North Carolina Pedestrian Accidents  High Point, NC - Man Hit on East Green Dr. Helping Neighbor Back Out of Driveway

Pedestrian crashes occur on North Carolina’s roadways each and every day. According to recent statistics, more than 80 percent of victims in North Carolina pedestrian accidents will suffer injuries with many of them being seriously injured. A pedestrian accident takes place suddenly and without warning, leaving the pedestrian exposed to the full impact of the crash. Following a pedestrian accident, police will carefully investigate the scene in an effort to determine who should be held responsible.

An investigation into a pedestrian accident begins with determining whether the driver was at fault. Driver distraction and failing to yield the right of way are common causes of pedestrian accidents in North Carolina. In these instances, the driver may be legally responsible for any injuries that are caused as a result of the accident. It only takes a second for a negligent driver to cause an accident that can have life-altering effects on others.
