Graham, NC – Charlotte Farrow Hurt in Head-On Collision on SR 2158

Graham, NC (January 24, 2021) – A woman from Graham suffered injuries in a head-on crash that took place on Thursday, January 21st. The crash was reported at approximately 8:00 a.m. on State Road 2158, also known as Swepsonville-Saxapahaw Road.

Trooper B.S. Linch with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the crash. According to a report from Trooper Linch, Dolores Henderson Apple, of Graham, was operating a 2019 Toyota southbound on SR 2158 when she attempted to pass a vehicle that was traveling in the same direction. Apple was in a no-passing zone but crossed the double yellow line and collided head-on with a northbound vehicle driven by Charlotte Ray Farrow, also of Graham.

Farrow sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. There is no update on her condition at this time. Following an investigation, Apple was issued a citation for reckless driving and unsafe passing. There were no other injuries reported in the accident.
