North Carolina Injury Accidents
There are hundreds of injury crashes reported each day on North Carolina’s roadways. It is easy to develop a false sense of security when we get into a vehicle. As we go about our everyday routine, no one ever expects to be involved in a serious injury crash. However, current statistics indicate that we should always be vigilant. According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, more than 80,000 people were hurt in North Carolina car accidents in 2019. This number has remained steady for a number of years but still indicates the dangers of traveling on our streets and highways. Many car accident victims are injured when they come into contact with a negligent driver and not through any fault of their own.
The injuries suffered by a car accident in North Carolina can be long-lasting and debilitating. Some common injuries experienced include broken bones, head trauma, neck and spinal cord injuries, and more. The cost of medical treatment can quickly reach tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars, leading to a financial crisis for many crash victims.
