Davidson, NC – 64-Year-Old Woman Killed in Main Street Pedestrian Crash

Davidson, NC (June 17, 2021) – A 64-year-old woman is dead following a pedestrian crash in Davidson on Thursday. The accident happened around 1:00 p.m. on Main Street at the intersection with Chairman Blake Lane in the downtown area.

The Davidson Police Department, along with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, responded to the crash scene. According to a report, the woman was walking in or near the roadway when she was hit by a passing vehicle. She suffered critical injuries and was later pronounced dead. The victim’s identity has not been released at this time. There is no word on the events that led up to the accident and no additional injuries were reported in the collision. The road remained closed while officials investigated at the scene. Motorists were advised to avoid the area or to find alternate routes of travel if possible.
