Burlington, NC – Two Seriously Hurt in N. Sellars Mill Rd. Car Accident

Burlington, NC (September 13, 2020) – Two people suffered critical injuries in a car accident that took place in Burlington on Saturday, September 12th. The crash happened just before 1:00 a.m. in the 100 block of Sellars Mill Road.

According to reports, officers with the Burlington Police Department, along with the Burlington Fire Department, and Alamance County EMS responded to a call regarding a single-vehicle crash. When crews arrived at the scene, they located a 2011 Dodge Challenger that was off the roadway. The Challenger was overturned onto its roof. Investigators believe that the vehicle veered out of its lane, left the roadway, and struck a tree before overturning. The driver was ejected from the car after the collision.

Both the driver and a passenger were taken to a nearby hospital and were listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. Neither occupant has been identified at this time.
