Winston-Salem, NC – Police Investigate Injury Crash on Hanes Mall Boulevard

Winston-Salem, NC (June 11, 2021) – Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the scene of an injury crash in the city on Thursday night. The accident happened around 9:00 p.m. on Hanes Mall Boulevard near Capitol Lodging Court and the on-ramp to Interstate 40.

According to police, there were two vehicles involved in the accident, a gray SUV and a white van. The white van sustained heavy front-end damage in the crash. At least one person was trapped inside their vehicle following the collision and had to be extricated by rescue workers. Paramedics were also at the accident scene and treated at least one person for undisclosed injuries. The condition of the victim and the number of injuries is not known at this time. There is no information on the cause of the accident and no one involved has been identified.
