Winston-Salem, NC (April 28, 2022) – A pedestrian in Winston-Salem was injured in a crash that took place on Wednesday night, April 27th. The accident occurred on North Point Boulevard at the intersection with University Parkway.
The Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the crash scene. According to a report from authorities, the female pedestrian was walking near the intersection when she was hit by a vehicle traveling on University Parkway. The pedestrian was treated at the scene before being taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Her identity has not been released at this time.
Following an investigation, police arrested and charged the driver with driving while impaired. He was not in the accident.
