Winston-Salem, NC – Danny Whitaker Hurt in U.S. 421 Car Accident

Winston-Salem, NC (March 19, 2021) – A man from Pinnacle suffered injuries in a crash that took place in Winston-Salem on Thursday, March 18th. The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 421 at Silas Creek Parkway.

The Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the scene. According to Officer SA Horsley, Madison Scott Holder, of Lexington, was driving a 2005 Ford on U.S. 421 when she tried to merge onto Silak Creek. Holder lost traction on her vehicle, causing it to spin around and crash into a 2016 Kia driven by Danny Ray Whitaker. Holder’s car then collided with a guardrail before coming to rest in the roadway. EMS and rescue crews arrived at the scene. Whitaker and a passenger, Joyce Lawson Whitaker, were taken to Forsyth Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Holder was not injured in the accident.

There have been no charges filed at this time. An investigation remains ongoing.
