Wilmington, NC – Police Respond to Injury Crash on 3rd Street

Wilmington, NC (October 19, 2020) –  The Wilmington Police Department responded to a crash in the city on Sunday, October 18th. Police received a call regarding the collision just before 11:00 a.m.

Following the dispatch call, police arrived at the intersection of 3rd Street and Greenfield Street near U.S. 421 and Carolina Beach. When officers arrived at the scene, they began diverting traffic away from the crash while they investigated and worked to clear away the accident. According to initial reports, at least one person sustained injuries in the accident. The victim was transported to a local hospital but was conscious and cooperating with the investigation. There is no word on the victim’s condition or identity at this time and also no word on the number of people who were hurt in the crash.
