Fatal Crashes in North Carolina  Wilkesboro, NC - Edna Hall Killed in Crash on N.C. 268

Sadly, fatal car accidents take place each day in North Carolina. According to current statistics, there are about four deadly crashes reported each day in our state. In 2019, nearly 1,500 lost their lives on North Carolina’s roadways while approximately 80,000 suffered varying types of injuries. A North Carolina car accident has the potential to be very devastating, both for the victim as well as their families and loved ones. Certainly, there is nothing more devastating and heartbreaking than the sudden loss of a family member due to a tragic crash.

Under North Carolina’s personal injury laws, car accident victims and their families may have certain legal rights in the aftermath of a serious crash. If your loved one was killed as the direct result of another driver’s negligence, you may be able to step in and file a wrongful death claim on behalf of your family member. These claims must be filed within two years of the date of death and should only be handled by an attorney who has experience in the area. A wrongful death lawsuit can help you obtain the compensation that you deserve when your loved one has been killed due to the actions of another motorist.

At Burton Law Firm, we bring years of experience and successful results to the table. While no amount of money can bring back your loved one or change the fact that the accident occurred, the financial compensation that you receive can be instrumental as you move forward along the path to recovery.
