Statesville, NC – Sandra Hager Killed After Being Hit by Truck at DMV Office

Statesville, NC (September 25, 2020) – A woman is dead and another injured following a crash at the DMV office in Statesville on Wednesday, September, 23rd. The crash happened at the office on West Water Street.

According to a report from the Statesville Police Department, 73-year-old Linda Price was driving a white Toyota Tacoma eastbound on Water Street when her vehicle left the roadway to the right and traveled onto the sidewalk. As the truck was on the sidewalk, it struck two women who were standing in the line at DMV.

One of the women, later identified as Sandra Woodside Hager, suffered critical injuries. Hager was rushed to Iredell Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. A second woman, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Price was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and was later released.

Police are still investigating at this time and there is no word on any potential charges against Price. There is no further information available.
