Moore County, NC – Two Paramedics Hurt in Carthage Road Crash

Moore County, NC (July 17, 2020) – Two paramedics suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash that took place on Thursday, July 16th in Moore County, near Carthage. The crash was reported at the intersection of Carthage Road and Beulah Hill Church Road.

According to initial reports, a Moore County EMS ambulance came to a four-way intersection. At the same time, a pickup truck also arrived at the same intersection. For unknown reasons, the ambulance and the pickup collided with one another. The EMS vehicle was responding to a call at the time that the collision occurred.

Rescue crews arrived on the scene and transported two injured paramedics to Moore Regional Hospital. Their injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening. The pickup driver was unresponsive at the scene and was airlifted to UNC Hospital trauma center with life-threatening injuries. No one involved in the crash has been identified at this time.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing at this time. No further details have been released.
