Fatal Accidents in North Carolina
Serious and fatal collisions are reported on a daily basis across North Carolina. Heavily-traveled streets and highways are the most frequent site of these types of accidents. Due to higher traffic volumes and a greater concentration of negligent drivers, highways can be dangerous places for motorists. Each accident must be closely investigated, however, many fatal collisions take place due to the negligence of at least one driver. This includes drivers who speed, drive recklessly and otherwise operate their vehicle in a negligent manner. These drivers can affect all other motorists on the roadway with their careless actions.
There is nothing more heartbreaking or devastating than the loss of a loved one as a result of a North Carolina traffic accident. While this is likely one of the most difficult and tragic things you have ever experienced, there may be some steps that you can take to be compensated for the unexpected expenses that you are now facing. Under North Carolina law, a victim’s family member can file a wrongful death claim.
