While the number of fatalities has remained relatively steady in recent years, there was a slight uptick in 2020 in the number of reported deadly crashes. The cause of the increase is unknown, but as more and more drivers are on the roadways the chances of a fatal accident will continue to go up. It is easy to fall into a false sense of security when we get into a vehicle but it is also important to remember that very serious car accidents in North Carolina take place here on a daily basis.
