Gastonia, NC – Terry Buchanan Seriously Hurt in I-85 Motorcycle Crash

Gastonia, NC (June 20, 2021) – One person was seriously injured in a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in Gastonia on Saturday, June 19th. The collision happened just after 4:00 p.m. on Interstate 85 near Exit 17.

The Gastonia Police Department reports that 53-year-old Terry Buchanan was riding his motorcycle in a northbound direction on I-85 when he collided with a car. Rescue workers responded to the scene and rushed Buchanan to Caromont Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other car, who was not identified, was not injured in the crash. There is no information on the events leading up to the accident.
