Car Accidents in North Carolina
North Carolina car accidents take place each day, multiple times per day. While many crashes result in only minor injuries or just property damage, some accidents can cause much more serious and long-lasting effects. A head-on car accident is one of the most dangerous and destructive types of accidents. These crashes often occur at high speeds and leave the other driver with very little time to react in order to avoid a collision. A head-on crash can be caused by a variety of factors but is normally caused by impaired, distracted, or reckless drivers.
Following a North Carolina car accident, you should seek legal assistance as soon as possible. After the crash, you are likely to receive a call from an insurance adjuster. The adjuster will want you to give a recorded statement and may ask for you to sign a release authorizing them to obtain your medical bills and records. If the adjuster determines that their company is responsible, they will offer you a settlement. The settlement that is offered is often too low and does not fairly compensate you for your injuries. The insurance company does not work for you and does not have your best interest in mind when trying to negotiate a resolution with you. For this reason, it is important to have a trusted lawyer on your side as you seek a resolution to your claim.
At Burton Law Firm, North Carolina car accident lawyer Jason M. Burton understands what you are going through. Mr. Burton knows how to deal with the insurance company and how to negotiate the best possible settlement on your behalf in a timely and efficient manner. During this time, your focus should be only on your healing and recovery and you should not have to worry about your legal claim.
