Corolla, NC (August 3, 2022) – Authorities in Corolla responded to the scene of a crash involving a car and a bicycle on Tuesday, August 2nd. The accident was first reported around 11:45 a.m. in the 800 block of Ocean Trail at the intersection with Albacore Street.
According to police, the accident happened near a Food Lion grocery store. The bicyclist suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics arrived on the scene to provide treatment. The injured victim was later airlifted to a local hospital. Their condition was described as serious but stable. The identity of the bicyclist has not been identified.
