According to reports from the scene, the accident involved two vehicles. Both drivers were seriously injured in the accident and were taken to the hospital to receive treatment. One of the drivers, a female, later succumbed to her injuries. There is no word on the condition of the other victim at this time. The crash caused all outbound lanes to I-85 to shut down for several hours while police and rescue crews worked at the scene. There is no information on the cause of the accident at this time.
