Benson, NC (October 3, 2022) – Troopers with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a deadly accident on Friday night, September 30th. The crash took place on Raleigh Road.
According to troopers, a 25-year-old male was driving a Raleigh Road when he lost control of his car. The man’s car then crashed into a vehicle driven by an unidentified female. The male driver sustained critical injuries in the accident. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. The female was transported to WakeMed with serious injuries. There is no further update on her condition at this time. Neither driver has been identified and no additional cars were involved in the accident.
Police believe that speed played a role in the crash. There is no additional information available.
An investigation continues.
