Raleigh, North Carolina

With more than 450,000 residents in the metropolitan area, Raleigh is one of the largest cities in North Carolina and one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. It’s the state capitol, home to dozens of governmental agencies, and an emerging hub for technology. Raleigh is also a center for higher education and is home to North Carolina State University, William Peace University, Shaw University, St. Augustine’s University, Meredith College, and the Campbell University School of Law. Raleigh is part of what is known as the “Research Triangle,” comprised of Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh, for the presence of research universities in each of these cities. Raleigh draws students, academics, professionals, and politicians from all over the country to do business, study, innovate, and govern.

Because of the booming population and proximity to I-40, I-85, I-440, I-540 and several other major highways, automobile and trucking accidents are a frequent occurrence in the City of Raleigh and the surrounding Wake County communities. Since 2007, Wake County has seen an average of 57 fatal automobile accidents per year with 50 occurring in 2017. Recent statistics show that there were more than 26,100 accidents inside Raleigh city limits during 2017, which produced 24 fatalities and nearly 7,200 personal injuries. There were 521 accidents involving alcohol, which lead to 692 personal injuries and 18 deaths. Wake County also saw at least 272 motorcycles accidents in 2017 and approximately 357 commercial trucking accidents. Many of these accidents are caused by intoxicated or distracted drivers, the failure to follow basic rules of the road, and other violations of North Carolina law. We are experienced in holding negligent parties responsible for their injury causing conduct and seek to help our client’s rebuild their lives in the wake of serious and fatal accidents.
